She has also guided her own children through homeschooling\, deepening her understanding of individualized\, heart-centered learning. \nLindsey is deeply inspired by Waldorf philosophy and its reverence for childhood. She believes that education should nurture the whole child—head\, heart\, and hands—while honoring each child’s unique path of development. \nHer love of nature is at the core of her work. Whether hiking\, gardening\, caring for animals\, or simply being outdoors\, Lindsey weaves the natural world into daily learning experiences. At Splitrock Farm & Retreat\, she creates opportunities for children to engage in meaningful\, hands-on work that builds confidence\, resilience\, and a true sense of belonging. \nLindsey is passionate about helping children grow into strong\, independent\, and free-thinking individuals. SUMMARY:Splitrock Community Fireside - Lunar New Year
DESCRIPTION:Splitrock Community gathering with food and healing vendors\, live music\, campfire\, open mic\, with optional day retreat\, camping and hikes.\n\n\nSplitrock Farm & Retreat is proudly offering a monthly Free Community gathering at our new event center\, the Splitrock Commons Geo Dome. This month features the color RED and the theme is the Dragon\, 2024 animal for Chinese New Year. Join us as we gather as a community in nature\, and share laughter and connection by bonfire. \nThe evening begins with the most breathtaking panoramic sunset views of the mountains surrounding all of San Diego\, all the way to the Pacific Ocean. We will have live acoustic music from Misty Tomasino of Mystic Rhythyms\, for a mystical heart -opening experience. \nOur featured performing arts facilitator Amy Ma\, will be offering a community engaging experience with traditions of her homeland in China to celebrate this year of the Dragon. You are invited to dress in attire from your homeland\, or in color theme RED as we are rooted in to our ancestral origins. \nPlease bring instruments for guitar\, drum circle\, and vocals for open mic performances. Limited spaces are available for open mic- please register upon arrival. This month we will have food vendors to provide sustenance. \nThis month we will be offering a Lunar New Year Retreat as an ‘add on’ to the FREE Community Fireside. Workshops include: \nBreathwork | Qigong | Baby Goat Yoga | Tibetan Bowls & Gong Soundbath | Tai Chi | Family Activity | Tea Lounge | Chinese Astrology & Herbal medicine \nOptions include al la carte or all access day pass. We will also have healing services\, and hand crafted artisan vendors\, in addition to food vendors through the evening. All Lunar Retreat guests are invited to stay for the entire Community Fireside celebration. \nYou also have the option to ‘add on’ to this event by camping in your own tent\, or for us to set up a glamping yurt to be ready for your arrival. We also have private campsites and luxury glamping\, available through our website or booking app Hipcamp.com. \nSplitrock Farm & Retreat is on a mission to improve community health by creating opportunities for people to experience the healing power of nature.
