Event Coordinator

Splitrock Farm and Retreat is seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual to serve as our Event Coordinator. You will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating Splitrock events (e.g. yoga, retreats, live music) at our farm and retreat center while also attracting and hosting external events, like summer camps, retreats, and weddings. This position offers a unique opportunity to blend event planning skills and business development, all while immersing yourself in the natural beauty of our tranquil surroundings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and execute a diverse range of events at Splitrock Farm and Retreat, including workshops, retreats, weddings, and community gatherings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and event participants to ensure smooth event logistics, timely communication, and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Coordinate event setup, breakdown, and on-site management, overseeing all aspects of event execution to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Assist with marketing and promotion efforts for events, utilizing social media, email newsletters, and other channels to attract participants and drive attendance.
  • Provide administrative support for event registration, ticketing, and attendee management, maintaining accurate records and databases as needed.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for event attendees, volunteers, and community members, embodying the values of sustainability, wellness, and hospitality.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in event planning, coordination, or hospitality management is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
