Land Stewardship & Campout for Volunteers
January 16 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
FreeSplitrock Farm & Retreat is developing a Permaculture Community. We are humbly requesting the help of volunteers wanting to be a part of this initiative through the service project for land stewardship, because it takes a community to build a community.
Splitrock Farm & Retreat is on a mission to improve community health by creating opportunities for people to experience the healing power of nature. We are offering programs that support mental, physical, and spiritual health, as we create opportunities for people to develop a healthier relationship to self while immersing themselves in their natural surroundings.
We will be gathering in the morning for orientation on the overall mission for the project and assigning group tasks to begin working for the day. We are excited to share the magnificent black granite firepit that was crafted with stones harvested from the land with our previous volunteer groups. We are building compostable toilets, sustainable farming, teaching survival skills, and commradery.
You have the option to RSVP to camp overnight in your own tent or vehicle. SplitRock Farm & Retreat is rated the #1 HipCamp location in America. We have partnered with VanLife Campgrounds and have recently created our own Communal Camp venue for traveling nomads. Come visit, explore our 101 acres of rolling hills, towering oak trees and massive boulders, with friendly free range farm animals.
We are offering free spaces to camp overnight and organizing are requesting attendees to bring potluck items for the evening and light morning breakfast. Please bring food and a musical instrument to share your gifts. Drum & guitar circles with vocalists welcome in the acoustics of the amphitheater surrounding the firepit.
* Please bring food for the community to share for the time you will be here volunteering on the stewardship project. This project requires physical labor and able volunteers who can arrive anytime the 20th-21st to be a part of the vision we are co-creating, even if for just a few hours.
We are here to serve humanity in a multi-generational regenerative community and to inspire all to deepen their connection with themselves and their relations through the physical experience to the mysterious natural world.
We are a community of life-long learners which embrace a holistic and integrative approach to experience the flow of life through the natural world and foster compassion, gratitude, connection, awareness, generosity, kindness, self-acceptance, self-motivation, self-reliance, global engagement, and to embrace the responsibility of personal and social stewardship of this planet.
Here, we offer a safe, yet courageous space, for all to grow, learn and create through your exploration and expression of your gifts and passion in which we celebrate each villagers for their co-creative and existence power. In a autopoietic village, everyone needs each other and everyone has a gift to contribute to the greater community.
