Live and Work in Paradise

Splitrock Farm and Retreat is accepting applications for short-term farm stays – living on our beautiful 101 acre property in exchange for skills and labor to develop the property and programs. In addition to the farm stay commitment of 8 hours weekly, there will be opportunities to earn income through the core business and open discussions for various entrepreneurial endeavors.

What Can Applicants Expect from Splitrock Farm Stay

1. Accommodation – we prefer that our work-stayers arrive with their home, usually a van, skoolie, or RV. We can set-up a 13ft diameter (192sqft) bell-tent for temporary accommodation for up to two weeks. While we lack accommodation options, we excel in living in paradise. Immersive experience in a tranquil natural environment, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, wildlife and farm animals, fresh air, and the sounds of nature.

8. 2 hours from LAX, 1 hour to SAN and SNA

2. All work-stayers are welcome to take any open seat for free in most of our weekly wellness and fitness activities. This includes yoga, soundbaths, guided hikes, and much more. Splitrock hosts regular live music and community events to participate, volunteer, or attend. 
3. Access to amenities and facilities offered by the retreat, including hiking trails, meditation spaces, a communal kitchen, hot showers, toilets, and more.
4. Learn, network, and collaborate in a strong, supportive Splitrock community of work-stayers and VanLifers. Learn new skills in sustainable living, permaculture, off-grid lifestyle, community building, event management, hospitality, farming, animal husbandry, entrepreneurship.
5. Limited contracted pay
