Land Stewardship & Campout for Volunteers

January 28 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Free
Land stewardship volunteers needed to help build a connection to community in the outdoors through mother nature and permaculture

Splitrock Farm & Retreat is developing a Permaculture Community. We are humbly requesting the help of volunteers wanting to be a part of this initiative through the service project for land stewardship, because it takes a community to build a community.

Splitrock Farm & Retreat is on a mission to improve community health by creating opportunities for people to experience the healing power of nature. We are offering programs that support mental, physical, and spiritual health, as we create opportunities for people to develop a healthier relationship to self while immersing themselves in their natural surroundings.

We will be gathering in the morning for orientation on the overall mission and assigning group tasks to begin the building project for the day. We are going to be learning how to build compostable toilets from leaders in the permaculture community. Join us to pursue your passion of sustainability and discover how to light your fire within from entreprenuerial mentors to help bring your vision to life with community.

For this event we are providing bell tents with sleeping cots, with a limited amount of spaces so be sure to add on to your ticket to reserve. You also have the option to camp overnight in your own tent or vehicle. The evening will include breathwork with Amy Ma of Sol Gratitude Village and Soundbath with Sierra Sovereign. Followed by a potluck, and drum song circle by the bonfire.

We are requesting attendees to bring potluck items for the evening and light morning breakfast. Please bring food and a musical instrument to share your gifts in the evening. Drum & guitar circles with vocalists welcome in the acoustics of the amphitheater surrounding the firepit.

* This project requires physical labor and able volunteers who can arrive the 28th to be a part of the vision we are co-creating to develop Sol Gratitude Village at Splitrock Farm and Retreat.

Splitrock Farm & Retreat is rated the #1 HipCamp location in America. We have partnered with VanLife Campgrounds and have recently created our own Communal Camp venue for traveling nomads. Come visit, explore our 101 acres of rolling hills, towering oak trees and massive boulders, with friendly free range farm animals.

We are here to serve humanity in a multi-generational regenerative community and to inspire all to deepen their connection with themselves and their relations through the physical experience to the mysterious natural world.

We are a community of life-long learners which embrace a holistic and integrative approach to experience the flow of life through the natural world and foster compassion, gratitude, connection, awareness, generosity, kindness, self-acceptance, self-motivation, self-reliance, global engagement, and to embrace the responsibility of personal and social stewardship of this planet.
Here, we offer a safe, yet courageous space, for all to grow, learn and create through your exploration and expression of your gifts and passion in which we celebrate each villagers for their co-creative and existence power. In a autopoietic village, everyone needs each other and everyone has a gift to contribute to the greater community.
